How to remove stains?

Stains in clothes are annoying. Some can be easily removed, some are tenacious. But most of the time the stain can be removed!

BLOOD
It's best to immediately wash out blood stains with clear and cold water. It is important to use cold water as the protein in blood would congeal in warm water. Soak the textile and carefully brush out the stain.

DEODORANT
Textile stains under the armpits can be removed in warm water in which two denture cleaning tabs were solved. Rinse the textile and wash it afterwards together with similar fabrics in the washing machine.

GRASS
Grass stains are tenacious. It is recommended to rub butter onto the fabric and wash the clothes with soap in seething water. Brush out the stain or use a sponge. Another technique recommends to dust the stain with baking powder. Thereafter wash out the textile with cold water and afterwards with warm water.

GREASE
The best is to dust the spot with salt or flour to soak most of the grease and avoid edges. Dried up stains can be washed out with brandy in which salt was solved. Don't rub too much to avoid that the stain is spreading.

CHERRY
Stains because of cherry juice should be sprinkled with lemon juice. After a while the garment can be washed in the machine.

BALLPOINT PEN
Stains from a ballpoint pen can be removed with pure alcohol or hairspray. Afterwards the garment should be washed out with clear vinegar or washed in the machine.

LIPSTICK
Stains can be washed out with turpentine, pure alcohol or bile soap and cleaned afterwards with warm water.

RED WINE
Red wine stains should be treated immediately. Cover the stain with salt in order to suck the wine out of the fabric. Afterwards wash it out with lemon juice.

CHOCOLATE
Chocolate stains can be washed out with soap and treat it afterwards like a grease stain. Another possibility is to dip the stain in lukewarm milk and rinse it afterwards with cold water.
